42Networks develops and sells products and system solutions for
Broadband Telephony, Triple Play for Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP), and Embedded
VoIP-solutions. We have been on the market with broadband telephony and
Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) products since 1999 and we are now selling the fourth and fifth
generation of products.
History and the present
Our offices are located in Kista/Stockholm, Sweden and we
have an R&D centre in Shanghai, China.
42Networks AB started as a
management buy-out from Ericsson Business Innovation
AB. Ericsson has a long tradition and deep knowledge of public
telephony and broadband access and has invested many years in research of
broadband telephony.
We inherited this broadband telephony and broadband access knowledge and have further
refined this knowledge base with the help of our system and product specialists
in Stockholm and the R&D centre in Shanghai.
42Networks AB was acquired by PacketFront Sweden
AB in December 2006 and is now a part of Packetfront Systems
AB. This merger has further improved our capability to serve our customers
by adding more resources on all fields, such as R&D, logistics and
production.
