Overview

DRG 100 Series

DRG 100 is a cost effective way to provide users with a combination of IP-telephony and broadband services, for example fast Internet. The DRGs have 1 or 2 POTS ports for IP-Telephony and 1 LAN port for end-user services. To use the IP-telephony services, the end user connects standard analogue phones or G3 fax machines to the DRG unit. No investment in expensive IP-phones is needed.

Simplicity through Plug-n-Call™

With the unique Plug-n-Call™ feature, the broadband telephony service-activation process is completely automated and removes the technical constraints in many of today’s solutions. During the installation and activation of the service, neither pre-configuration of the DRG units nor interaction from the end-user is required during the installation and activation of the service.
The Plug-n-Call™ simplifies the processes for the service provider and allows broadband telephony to reach a broader public.

Multiple broadband services

The end user can connect to the broadband using the DRG 100 without any additional equipment needed, thanks to the in-built router and NAT functionality. DRG units can also be placed behind end-user router/NAT using the DRG NAT traversal support. Alternatively, the DRG can work in layer 2 switching mode. VLAN technology is used for separation of the different services and operators if so required.

High quality IP-telephony services

The DRG 100 enables carrier-grade voice quality through priority mechanisms on both Ethernet and IP levels.

Suitable for a broad range of networks

Compliant with standards such as H.323, SIP, H.248 and MGCP, the DRG 100 works in many environments and systems. It can be used in Ethernet, xDSL, Cable TV or fixed wireless networks.
