Remote Management and Configuration

HDD is the optimal management software for 42Networks FTTH and Broadband Telephony products. Using a familiar graphical interface, the HDD enables structured handling of large populations of CPEs. The network operator can organize the units in groups and levels using a tree-structure. With HDD, the entire CPE population can also be easily updated/upgraded with new software.

With HDD, an operator can provision new CPE units remotely and control all configurable functions in the units. Such functions are for example telephony parameters, VLAN configuration and QoS parameters. 

Enhanced Plug & Play

When a CPE unit is plugged into the network it is discovered automatically. The HDD will push out a preconfigured template to make the provisioning and management as easy as possible. By using service configuration templates, all service related parameters can also be configured automatically.

Flexible interfaces

Due to flexible API interface, the control of network configuration and service provisioning can be distributed between the network operator and service provider(s) making the overall handling of CPE's easy. Security mechanisms enable integrity between service providers and minimize the risk of unauthorized access to parameters not applicable for a network or service administrator.

By using the API interface, an operator can easily integrate the HDD with existing provisioning systems.
